It is expected to make a positive impact in preparing youth to be empathetic and responsible citizens of their communities and the globe.

Honourable David Eggen, Minister of Education,  also supports the contest and stated at his support letter as below.

“I would like to take this opportunity to express my support of the, “Art, Essay and Short Movie Contest” proposed by the Intercultural Dialogue Institute of Edmonton. Recently, I had the pleasure of meeting with their Executive Director, Ibrahim Cin, in my constituency office. I was impressed by his passion for intercultural projects and by his dedication to fostering cross- cultural understanding.

The proposed contest would provide a wonderful opportunity for students to explore multicultural themes while also giving them the chance be recognized for artistic excellence in a variety of mediums.”
