Creative Minds Youth Contest Durham 2020
Dear Educators and Students,
Intercultural Dialogue Institute GTA is pleased to launch its 10th Annual Creative Minds Youth Contest in Durham Region. This year’s theme is “Creating Safe Spaces: Countering Racism and Discrimination”. We invite secondary school students from Durham District School Board, Durham Catholic District School Board, Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board and Peterborough Victoria Northumberland and Clarington Catholic District School Board to take part in the contest. Submissions will be accepted in four categories: art, essay, short video, and social project. The deadline for submissions is April 13th, 2020.
Winners of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in all four categories in Durham Region will have an opportunity to participate in Creative Minds Youth Contest GTA which will be held in the Fall of 2020 (more details to come).
Creative Minds Contest aims to engage students in a wide range of themes and give them a unique opportunity to express their ideas through their creative pieces and projects. It is expected to make a positive impact in preparing youth to be empathetic and responsible citizens of their communities and the globe.
